Privacy Policy

Your close data

Data you enter into Close Loop — templates, tasks, owners, notes and close progress — belongs to your organisation. It is scoped to your organisation and sub-teams and is enforced at the database level, so members only see the organisations and teams they belong to. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Website analytics

We use our own first-party analytics to understand how people find and use Close Loop. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising or tracking service, and we do not track you across other websites.

We record:

• the name of the event (for example, a page view or a button click);
• the page path on our own site;
• the host name of the site that referred you (for example linkedin.com) and any campaign tags in the link you followed;
• a random, anonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser, so repeat visits from the same browser are not double counted;
• once you have an account, your Close Loop user ID against a small number of one-off product milestones (for example, that a first template was created).

We do not store your IP address, name, email address, organisation name, task names or any finance data in analytics.

Browser storage. We store a random visitor ID and the campaign details of your first visit in your browser's local storage (cl_analytics_v1), and a short list of already-counted page views for the current session (cl_analytics_seen). No cookies are used for analytics. The visitor ID entry expires after 180 days and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Retention. Analytics events linked only to an anonymous visitor ID are deleted after 6 months. All analytics events are deleted after 24 months.

Email

We send account and close-related emails such as invitations, daily summaries and overdue reminders. You can turn notification emails off in Settings.
